AcesoMed in portrait: first-hand experience
Masoud Kuhn
Masoud Kuhn, 51
Electronics developer
AcesoMed GmbH

You work at AcesoMed as an electronics developer. How did you come to choose this field when you were young?

“My father and my big brother were both electronics engineers. I often watched them at work as a little boy and therefore developed a great enthusiasm for electronics at an early age. Privately, I later worked on electronics solutions in the areas of model making, radio technology and solar technology, which was a lot of fun.”

Can you remember how you became aware of AcesoMed back then and why your choice fell on us?

“At the time, I was looking for jobs in the field of electronics development in the greater region and came across AcesoMed’s job posting online. During my interview, the team made a very good impression on me; I also liked the idea of working for a young, ambitious company. It was foreseeable that I would have a varied job instead of doing the same tasks for 30 years like in a big corporation.”

What excites you about your job?

“It’s not so easy to put into words why electronics development excites me so much but I think it’s because I have to work really precisely. As an example, the detailed work on electronic circuits is very challenging and essential for the interaction of all product components. A functioning product as the end result makes me proud every time. Working in the medical technology industry also gives me the feeling that I can improve or even save people’s lives.”

What tasks do you deal with as an electronics developer?

“In a nutshell, as an electronics developer, I am responsible for planning and designing the device electronics, circuit development and reliable implementation in the product. In electronics, we’re usually one step ahead of the other disciplines, paving the way for product development.”

What makes working at AcesoMed special for you?

Let me list:

  • A relaxed, motivated team
  • Open communication and a targeted approach to dealing with errors; we don’t look for the blame, but rather try to learn from mistakes.
  • Everyone in our team is in a key position, has responsibility and is really skilled in their field
  • The possibility for home office with good lab equipment, as I live in Trier
  • Cookies with my coffee 🙂

What tip do you have for newcomers and job seekers?

Go and look for a diverse job, otherwise it will be boring. In my experience, that’s usually only available in smaller, innovative companies.

Thank you for the insight into your work, Masoud. We’re proud to have you on our team!
